A Bit About Me

Terry McPhillips is a Manager, Coach and Scout.

 

He is dedicated to player development with ability for and commitment to identifying, signing and nurturing players. McPhillips has had success signing players from the Lower Leagues and Non League, developing numerous successful Premier League and Championship players who have been sold on to generate considerable income for the clubs he has worked for. He has developed players from Academy level to Championship First Teamers and has worked closely with experienced staff such as England Assistant Manager Steve Holland and Dundee Manager Gary Bowyer.

ASSISTANT MANAGER, SOUTHPORT FC

Supports the Manager in training and on match days helping to devise and deliver training schedules and programmes.

FIRST TEAM MANAGER, BLACKPOOL FC

Led the team to a top half finish in League One after being favourites for relegation (10th, 62 points). Recruited and developed players who have excelled in League One such as Marc Bola, Curtis Tilt and

Matty Virtue amongst others; one of these players being sold for a significant profit.

ASSISTANT MANAGER, BLACKBURN ROVERS FCPlanning and delivering coaching sessions with first team players in preparation for Championship games. Recruited and developed players such as Rudy Gestede, Tom Cairney and Josh King who were all sold at a

considerable profit, generating income for the football club.

Terry is known for...

Terry McPhillips was a forward and he began his career in the youth team at Liverpool F.C. He did not make a first team appearance at Anfield and left Liverpool for Halifax Town in 1987.

He soon made his mark by scoring a hat-trick in a 3–3 draw against Carlisle United in the 1988–89 season. He went on to score 29 goals in 93 appearances for Halifax Town.

In 1991, he signed for Crewe Alexandra on a free transfer, scoring once in six league appearances for Crewe.[3] He dropped into non-league football with Fleetwood and Barrow before joining Nantwich Town in March 1994. He then served Marine, Burscough, Ashton United, Caernarfon Town and Bangor City.
